Coronavirus information and provisional cancellation policy changes
What does this new policy mean for actual bookings?
Since 2020 we have update both our cancellation policy as well as our internal procedures to adapt to the new pandemic situation. At the same time we continue offering a very normal service our clients, so that they can enjoy of a relaxed and mostly “normal” holiday in Mallorca.
- Changes in our cancellation policy
Eligible reservations can be changed without charges, including:
- Guests who are traveling to or from severely affected areas.
- In case Mallorca becomes an affected area and there is a recommendation from the Foreign & Commonwealth office against traveling to the island, this will be a reason to offer a cost free voucher for the booking.
- Anyone who can’t complete their trip due to official travel restrictions, medical or disease control duties, flight or ground transport cancellation initiated by the provider due to COVID-19, or suspected or confirmed cases of COVID-19
In case that a confirmed reservation that falls under our extenuating circumstances policy is cancelled, we offer you these options:
- The guest will have the choice for a
- Change the booked dates
- Or change the booked property
- Or change both, the dates as well as the booked property
- Changes in our Check in and Check out procedures
In order to minimize the contact as well as the exposure and in all the bookings this is possible, we will arrange check in procedures at the villa itself. A MallorVillas representative will receive the clients taking all the security measures and do the check in procedure, explanation of the villa as well as other instructions.
The check out procedures are done as usual, in a very simple way. Clients just will leave the villa at the accorded time. We will wait for 2 hours before beginning the turnover cleaning, which is done thoughtfully (see next section).
- Updated cleaning and laundry procedures
We have improved our already excellent cleaning and laundry procedures, so that all the new security, hygienic and organization measures are included in our cleaning and laundry routines. Please check out our complete statement:
The cleaning schedules are, as before set to every other day, or alternately, set in accordance to the client. This way we ensure a very good cleaning standard, but still holding on the safety contact measures.
