Villa Morell

The Finca “Morell” has a long past and looks back to Arabian times. The house itself is only about one hundred years old, but the simple knowledge of its past increases the great charme. Your fantasy without frontiers will show you obvious relicts of the Moors’ time.

The estate is owned by a majorcan family ever since the house had been built, who, following the tradition, gives love and care to house and land which can be felt all over the place.

When reaching the house passing a narrow path, your view passes a green iron entrance gate and a beautiful large yard surfaced with cobbles. The house is imposing with its clear and simple form, given relief with 3 terraces on two sides with wine-covered bowers. White columns with plants, creeping up on them, are next to a yard where steps take you down to the pool. Small stables incorporate today shower/toilet, covered BBQ and an old, still working oven. A carport lines the place on the side.

Awaiting a simple interior after having seen the outside you will be surprised. The old beams and the cozy rooms are really a surprise. The hall is spacious with a beam ceiling, not too high, and decorated with antique majorcan elements. Everywhere appear handmade cloth and embroidery. There is a main stair from the hall which today is used as an enchanting dining area; next to the former maids’ rooms, a kitchen and larder can be found and an access to a small backyard. In this area there is a simple bedroom with two single beds and a shower room with bidet and toilet in front.
Back to the lounge-hall of 50m² one can enjoy a big antique corner cupboard which matches perfectly with the beautiful dining table and the comfortable chairs. The big corner fireplace spreads a comfortable atmosphere on colder days.

The lounge up on the gallery will be reached by a staircase from the big hall. It is lovely furnished, very privately and has got a fireplace as well. Windows on three sides let in the light and give a fantastic view to the landscape. In front of the fireplace are two comfortable sofas. A small house bar, a sideboard, a desk and built-in cupboards with glass doors, books and games can be found. Passing this area and a staircase going down, you come to the dormitories with 3 beautiful bedrooms and two bathrooms. The house compared with its age, seems fresh, airy and inhabited.
The terraces are furnished with quality. The Pollença bay is at 3 km distance.
